I spent the better part of today in very extensive meetings with my lawyers about the state of my affairs and plans for the future. Believe me when I say life in this business without a good lawyer is a life of misery. Lawyers are very important to every entertainer and the better your lawyer, the better opportunities you will have for your career to soar to greater heights. I have to give a shout out to my lawyer for doing a great and terrific job in making sure I am fairly taken care of in everything I do. Again I cannot stress it enough, a good lawyer is as important as a good manager. And when you have em working is perfect sync, its a beautiful thing.
So as a tribute to my lawyers and all the amazing lawyers out there (in all fields of law), I have decided to paint the quintessential symbol for justice which is a weighing scale. However I decided to paint a one sided weighing scale (a scale with only one arm) because to be honest, I am not concerned about my interest as the other side is about theirs. So the one arm of justice represents my side of the table.

After catching up on some much needed sleep in my own bed after a 3 day hiatus, I decided to hit the gym for some cardio. That's it...nothing exciting happened today just woke up and headed to the gym. However later on tonight, I have an all night recording session. So that will be exciting.
So as usual, I painted a triangle but this time I switched it up a little bit and painted it around the top hat. To me this represents elegant endurance because there was an air of elegance in today's cardio session. i was still feeling high and good about myself after giving my fans a tremendous show over the weekend. So what better way to express that than my strength triangle over the very definition of Victorian elegance i.e. the top hat.

Tonight is the reason for my trip to Chicago...it's the night of my concert in Downtown Chicago and I'm all psyched up. This is what I do for a living and everyday I have to pinch myself. I still can't believe people pay me to do this...but I'm not complaining.
So for today's addition, I freed another musical wave from behind bars because this is my exercising my music in it's purest form to a live audience as opposed to a studio. This is the end user experience so it definition deserves notice on my painting. There is no better place to represent this that at the gradual liberation of my music from behind bars.

Just touched down in Chicago and it's snowing. This is the first time I've been in the snow in a very long time. Since I reside in the west coast, I try to plan my trips to the snowy parts of the country during summer time. But this time, the snow finally caught up with me. Here is a picture I took of the sidewalk right as I walked outside the Chicago's Midway Airport.
So today's painting will be a snowflake right next to my rain cluster to represent the two different extremes between Los Angeles and Chicago.

Remember how I said my music was behind bars from day
well today it broke out and hasn't looked back. For those of you wondering what the hell I'm talking about, please allow me to elaborate. After a month or two of slow momentum and setbacks in regards to me recording new music at the pace I'm used to, today was a break in the norm. A major record label rented out a studio for me in the heart of Hollywood and gave me an 8 hour block all to myself to create. And create I did. When it was all said and done, I had written and recorder 5 smashing hooks for major artists on said label.
Now granted I pulled an all-nighter the other (day 53 to be exact) that session was not nearly as productive as today's session. In the previous session, nothing seemed to be working out the way I wanted hence the over-extended and frustrated session. I guess all I needed was a change of environment.
So today I will be freeing one of my music arches from behind bars to signify my new found musical freedom.
Here is a closer look.
Also I will be heading to Chicago tomorrow for a concert Saturday night. So to preserve the integrity of my Mosaic365 project and keep it going uninterrupted, I have decided to take aquire a sketchpad from the hotel I will be staying at and make my addition including color description. When I return home on Sunday, I will include the changes on the canvas. However I will still be blogging my sketches and post them on the blog for each day of travel.

Not much to talk about today but the rain. My gray vision is slowly turning into a constant migraine and although I got some sleep last night as I intended, it still wasn't enough to counteract the effects of almost 3 days with far below the doctor recommended sleep time. So I'm guessing this recovery will take till the weekend before I'm back in tip top shape. That works out perfect for me because I have ti leave town this Friday for a show in Chicago. We'll talk more about that tomorrow.
So today I went ahead an added another raindrop to my shower which has began to form on the right side of my painting. However this drop was slightly smaller than the rest because although it rained and is still raining 5 hours later, it's been no more that a steady drizzle. Ergo, the smaller raindrop.

I'm sill yet to get some decent sleep since the last few days. Running on a combined 4 segmented hours of sleep, my gray vision is becoming more preeminent in my sight. Even as I type, I see grayish keys...perhaps it has something to do with he fact that my mac is gray. Maybe that gray is bleeding unto the keys in my sight. Whatever the case my be, I think I need to stop right here, drop everything I'm doing and go to sleep. Nothing can be more important that a good night's sleep...not ever MOSAIC365.
So before I hit the hay, here is what I painted. The gray has spread upwards in my painting.

If I were to say my studio session yesterday lasted a little longer than I expected, I'd be grossly understating the facts. How does 15 hours of recording, mixing and everything in between sound? Because that's just about how long my session yesterday lasted, from 3pm to 6am. Obviously my fable attempt at some sleep is evident of my current state. I am so beyond exhausted that everything looks like it has a grayish shade to it. No matter what color it really is, I see grayish undertones in it. I was quite concerned that I looked this up and apparently the experts say when deprived of rest, your cornea which it the part of your eyes that's sensitive to the color spectrum of light start loosing focus leaving the black and white sensory organs. And when you combine both colors together, you get gray. I think it has something to do with the fact that white and black are colors that both reside on opposite ends of the color spectrum. So as the eyes get tired, it tries to conserve energy by shrinking the spectrum, bringing
the black and white closer together. A focused eye equals a broader spectrum of colors its sensitive to.
So that's my schpiel...and that's why I have colored a section on my painting gray. To simply put, I emulated what my eyes were doing an combined my black and white paints to create the gray shade that you
see on my painting. Hope to get some sleep tonight and regain my color by morning. I'll be in touch.

So today like most Sundays was my laid back family day. However I still needed to fit my cardio in somewhere in all that relaxation. So I took Dukie for a run to the park and did some cardio. One thing I noticed was the greenery of the park. For some reason, it was exceptionally green today. I love nature so to encounter it in the middle ho Hollywood as a very welcome surprise. I usually head to the gym for my cardio and seldom visit the park. So this was a first for me. You might be seeing more green triangles in my future paintings.
That brings me to today's painting. I will be adding a green triangle to my ensemble. Green for the luscious greenery I encountered today at the park, and a triangle to represent strength/cardio...the strongest structure in nature.
