Day 101 - APRIL SHOWERS
101 days down, 264 go.
It's been a wile perhaps about a month but it finally rained in LA today and as a matter of fact it is still raining as I post. If you guys know anything about LA, rain is a rare commodity here. So whenever it pours like today, I make sure to add another teardrop from the heavens on my painting in the aptly titled 'Celestial Cluster'.

So today is no different, I will be adding another raindrop to my painting.

Day 100 - 100 DAYS IN...WOW!!
100 days down, 265 go.
So friends, we made it all the way to 100 days and this has been a very incredible experience. It very exciting to see how the painting has slowly been taking shape into something very unique and groundbreaking. It has taken on a life of it's own as shapes slowly morph from an original intent to a later addition. To watch the sands of time slowly pass by both literally (on the painting) and figuratively has thought me a lot about like and the chaos that is is. So come on and celebrate the first 100 days with me as we look forward to the next 100 days. With 265 days left, we are barely a third of the way in and have a long long way to go. But this is promising, if we made it this far, I think we can go all the way. So lets look forward to the next 100 days and where this journey would take us. I can't wait to see what the painting looks like at day 200.

So for today's painting, I need to dig deep to commemorate this event with something very creative. I already decided long ago that today's addition would be the number 100. Hoverer that's as far as I thought it through. I intended to let the painting as it stood on day 100 tell me where to go and from looking at the painting so far, I cam already see two zeros that would make a good 100. So all I need to do here is add a one and voila we have a hundred.

Day 99 - RUNNING LOW AGAIN
99 days down, 266 go.
I'm not gonna be saying much today because I just wrapped a 12 hour studio session and I am absolutely drained just like the battery I will be painting onto today. So I'm gonna be brief with today's post. I had a big collaboration opportunity with a platinum selling rapper come my way recently and I have to jump on it with both feet. That's why I took almost 12-hours perfecting the record because I need to bring my A-game if I'm gonna be in a song with this guy.

So like I mentioned above, I am running on about 4 hours of sleep in the last 2 hours so you can imagine that I totally spent right about now. Today's addition will me a reduction on the battery life from day 92 to represent how I feel right about now. I will add more black over the green to reduce it.

Day 98 - BACK ON MY FITNESS SHIZZ
98 days down, 267 go.
It's been about two weeks since I was last in the gym. Having had to head out to Yew York for a few days and taking another few days to get everything together working out kinda fell down my list. Now I'm back on my LA shizz and fitness is back atop my list where it rightfully should be. And as usual, I started off with my 30 min cardio and them did a few weights. Nothing too crazy as I am trying to attain slender muscle mass.

So as you guessed it, my addition today would be another strength triangle. The color would be a light green because I did spend some time in the park under a tree with some squirrels. So green it is but I will make this green a lighter shade so I can differentiate it from the other two green triangles already on the painting.

Day 97 - CRAP OF THE TITANS
97 days down, 268 go.
Yes I said it 'Crap Of The Titans'...that's exactly how I feel about the new movie 'Clash Of The Titans'. Must Hollywood ruin all my childhood memories? The original 1981 version of Clash with seriously outdated special effects and all still is one of my favorite movies of all times. Every time I watch it, I am instantly transported back to a simpler time when all was well with the world through my eyes. Even the Medusa from the original was more believable than the new version. This new and "updated" Hollywood regurgitation features a story with enough holes to put the US boarder with Mexico to shame. I just didn't get it and was highly disappointed. I'm so happy I didn't spring for the 3D version. Boy would I have been soooo pissed. After Avatar, I had high hopes for Sam Worthington but since seeing this crap-fest of a movie, I have serious doubts about his future in Hollywood.

So to further elaborate on my disappointment, I will be painting wings on my sleep sheep from day 78 as a way of saying Pegasus might have well been a flying ship and I would have enjoyed it much better. So ladies and gents, I am officially giving this movie a 1 out of 5 stars as a critic and as a painter I give it 1 flying sheep out of 3.

Day 96 - RETURN OF THE MIGRAINE
96 days down, 269 go.
All day, I've been battling with an excruciating migraine. Perhaps it has something to do with all the phone calls I had today. All in all, I estimate I must have been on the phone for a combined total of about 7 hours today. Now they say the science is still out on the a link between cellphone usage and cancer but I think it's safe to say there is a correlation between excessive use and migraines. So as a result, I'm gonna only use text, BBM and emails for the next 24 hours. Call it a test of self control as I fight the urges to answer phone calls. So if I don't answer your phone call tomorrow, please leave a message an I will be sure to get back to you as soon as humanly possible.

Thus my painting today will be a reiteration of a previous addition from day 10 titled 'Migraine Boy'. Over the months, I seem to have painted over parts of my migraine depiction. So I will re-enforce this depiction to emphasize my mood and the way I am feeling today.

Day 95 - GOOOOOOOO DUKE
95 days down, 270 go.
Those of you who know me would know when it comes to the NCAA, I ride for Duke all the way. I even named my dog Duke so you know that's love right there. Well just a few minutes ago, Duke clinched the win over Butler with only 2 points. Although Butler tried to comeback with a 3 pointer buzzer beater, it was to no avail is the ball bounced off the net. I have been waiting all week for this game and the wait was well worth it.

So for today's painting, I be adding the signature Blue Devil horns to my painting kinda following in the theme from day 7 with my Dallas Cowboy's longhorn. The color will also be the signature dark blue color of the Blue Devils.

Day 94 - TODAY THE EARTH SHOOK...LITERALLY
94 days down, 271 go.
It's not "The Big One" that we Californians have long feared - but it was close. An earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale struck Southern California this afternoon and IO felt my house shaking for up to 60 seconds. But, so far, damage was not wide spread and the highway system seems to have weathered the hit. L.A. Police, Emergency and Fire personnel have been recalled to duty and an earthquake watch is now in effect. The earthquake was centered in Baja, California but was felt all along the West Coast, especially in Los Angeles, San Diego and as far as Arizona. Apparently recent structural upgrades and strict building codes have had the desired effect and no major building damage has yet been reported. I guess California was just shaking with excitement to have me back home.

Anyways for my painting today, I will be making my best attempt to turn my music bars originally from day 4 into an earthquake wave pattern. Since I will be drawing this freehand, don't expect perfectly rounded circles. Much like the ones you see on a map pinpointing the epicenter of an earthquake and radially spreading outwards. It is also convenient that my epicenter is right above my LA traffic from day 16 to show the quake was massively felt here in Los Angeles.

Day 93 - BACK TO LA
93 days down, 272 go.
Today I will be heading back home to LA. After the exhausting few days I have had in NY, I am happy to be heading back to west coast time which is more my speed. The more I travel between both coasts, the more I realize that they are two completely different worlds and ways of life. LA is laid back and more relaxed while NY is high strung and wound up. It works for those who live there but LA is where I belong.

Today I will simply be painting a house on the west coast of my painting right on my California beach from day 79 to represent my home because that is truly where my heart it.

Day 92 - THIS CITY IS EXHAUSTING
92 days down, 273 go.
It's day 2 of my New York meetings and I am still exhausted from yesterday. Not just from the the meetings but also from getting around New York. I'm serious New York city is so damn exhausting. Just getting around can knock the wind out of you. And the subway is pretty overwhelming especially during rush hour. I guess the sheer size and grandeur of New York is very intimidating and draining when you try to take it all in.

I feel like a battery running on 'E' and that's what I'm gonna be painting for today. I will be turning my green square from day 89 into the last energy bar in my human battery.
