Today would have been another typical day in the gym except for the fact I ran into an LA Laker at the gym. And as a huge fan of the Lakers it sure was a treat. So for today, I will be painting my usual triangle but this time it will be representative of the Lakers. Since I already have a purple triangle from day --, and the Lakers signature color is purple and gold. So I will paint a gold triangle into the already purple triangle to create a purple and gold triangle.

Not more than 10 minutes ago, the U.S. House of Representatives has passed a historic health care bill that will extend coverage to 32 million Americans who are currently uninsured and impose new requirements on the health insurance industry. Democrats reached the 216 votes needed to pass the bill, which has already cleared through the Senate. The bill passed with 219 votes with less than a minute left in voting. The debate was fiery on the House floor all day. Republicans are unanimously opposed to the bill that will overhaul the nation's health care system. When history is written one party would clearly be on the side of the people. Right now it doesn't look good for the Republicans.
So to mark this momentous occasion, I have decided to paint the symbol for universal health care. Now although this bill is far from universal health care, it's a step in the right direction and who said I can't have dreams of euphoria. I will be painting it in it's signature gold color to represent a beacon oh hope and an ideal to aspire to.

Today was a day unlike no other. See even though I live in the west coast, I seldom make it out to the beach so today was a rare treat for me. I got to make it out to Malibu beach today to celebrate a friends birthday. If you haven't been to Malibu beach, you are really missing out on one of the great splendors of nature. Unless you live in Hawaii where sights like this are common, you really ain't living. Coming from the highly over-developed and over-populated city of Los Angeles, being out on the beach and feeling your feet in that sand is cathartic. I often found myself lost in the waves as I starred at them crashing on the beach over and over again. For that brief moment, time was not an issue and all my stress coupled up with career aspirations and expectations washed away. Now I know why it's so darn expensive to live near the beach. I now have a new goal...to one day own a house on the beach, be it in Malibu or Hawaii (preferably Hawaii).
So today I will attempt to paint some beach sand right next to my stream of water from Day 6. You can tell from the tone of my type that I'm not really confident on how this would come out because sand is very hard to paint without numerous reference points like trees, water, grass, rocks, etc. Since I only have one reference point in the the form of my stream, this will take a little more imagination on the part of the viewer.

After slaving for 8 hours in the studio, I am confident I achieved another masterpiece in music both in concept and execution. And since every good worker deserves good rest, I had to take my just reward and last night was a splendor. A splendor so sweet that I slept well into the afternoon. We considering I went to bed at about 6am this, it was only right I got my full doctor recommended 8 hours of sleep daily. Seeing that I rarely get a decent amount of sleep on account of the fact that my mind is never at rest, last night was a rare occasion worth noting.
So today's painting addition is gonna be of just that. How does counting sheep sound...because that's what I'm gonna be painting today. Although I was counting something different in my sweet dreams, more along the lines of platinum plaque, I think painting sheep would convey the idea better. And what better place to paint it than over my newly occupied thought bubble of yesterday.

Remember my writers block addition from day 71, well consider me unblocked because I was able to complete the song that had me stumped for many many hours. I can't say much about the song because it is not released yet and it's always safer to keep you music under wraps until they are ready for release to avoid leaks. And since my songs get leaked a lot (don't ask me how) I have to now take extra precautions with my music.
Anyways I can talk about the general idea behind the song. It's about being drunk dealing with the morning after. So my addition today would to fill in the blank thought bubble from day 71 with beer almost to the brim to symbolize drunkenness and it's repercussions, the concept behind my new song.

Today marks St. Patrick's day, a yearly holiday celebrated on 17 March. It is named after Saint Patrick (circa AD 387–461), the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland. It began as a purely Catholic holiday and became an official feast day in the early 1600s. However, it has gradually become more of a secular celebration of Ireland's culture and how people ended up associating this day with getting shit faced seems to escape me. But nevertheless, it's the theme for my painting today.
Now at first glance, one would suggest that I paint a four leaf clover but if you have been following me on this journey of 'Life In Color' you would know this is far too simple a path for me. Also in addition to the fact that I already have a four leaf clover painted from day 27, I have decided to do something different to mark St. Patty's day. However I must keep it withing Irish folklore to mark this day and what comes to mind is a pot of gold. It's the only logical addition for me when you consider the fact that I already have rainbows from days 22 and 40. So it's a matter of merely adding a pot of gold to the end of my rainbow from day 40.

So today I decided to rather that drive to the gym, to walk there instead in effect getting a warm up on my way there and a cool down on my way back. However little did I know a 10-15 minute journey by car would take me the better part of an hour by foot. So when it was all said and done, I had spent a combined total of over 3 hours in fitness.
So today's fitness triangle is gonna be an unusually long one to represent the almost tripling of my usually one hour long workout session. I also decided to paint it in purple because for some strange reason, that's the color that comes to mind when I think of my day so far. Does anyone know why? What does purple represent emotionally?

As I enter into this new week, I feel the pressure beginning to mount because the decisions I am making this week would affect my career and life form here on. So as you can imagine, it's no small task I have set before me. I have had to shed everything else I had on the table, relegating them to the back burner for now as I focus on the task at hand. So those of you out there that are waiting on my input on your project, please have patience and bare with me. This is the most important thing to me right now.
So today's painting is gonna reflect just that...the mounting pressure with a hint of anxiety I'm beginning to feel as this week of weeks slowly rolls on. I will be painting a pressure gauge unto the gold record from day 30, in effect turning it into a barometer to indicate a measure of the pressure on me beginning to rise. I chose this particular section to paint my pressure gauge because as I stated on day 30, the gold record symbolizes and predicts my future in music filled with Grammys and success. So since this pressure is all about my career's future, there is no where else on the canvas that is better suited for today's addition than on the gold record.

The weekend has come to a close and so has my elastic time. Since I chose not to make my big decision on Friday, but instead to wait til Monday, I effectively bought my self two free days of indecision because it was the weekend and no one in their right mind makes big decisions on the weekend. However all good things do come to an end and come tomorrow, my decision has to be presented.
It's sure was fun taking my time to get at the right decision. But more importantly, it was the smart and educated thing to do. Perhaps to some, it might have seemed like I was lallygagging but like Obama did before he decided to send more troops to Afghanistan, I took the time to fully explore the pros and cons of every possible option and alternative. So I feel this is going to be the best decision I will be making to the best of my abilities and knowledge. Will it be the right one? Only time would tell but I a an optimist so I say YES it will turn out to be the best decision for me.
So today I will be painting on the final section of my time extension from days 69 and 70 to represent the last day of my stay of execution or perhaps 'The Ending of my Time' to decide.

If you know me, you should already know I'm a HUGE boxing fight and today, perhaps boxing's biggest current superstar Manny 'PacMan' Pacquiao squared off against a relatively unknown Joshua Clottey. I called this post 'The Thriller From Manilla' although Pacquiao is not From Manilla, he is still Phillipino so the title stands. Anyways it was one of the most boring fights I've ever witnessed as Pacquiao dispatched Clottey with ease. Fighting in the lone star state, Manny Pacquiao showed once again why he is boxing's current star. With most in the crowd of 50,994, the biggest fight crowd in the U.S. in 17 years, cheering him on at Cowboys Stadium, Pacquiao dominated a strangely passive Joshua Clottey from the opening bell Saturday night to retain his welterweight title. All Clottey did was block, block and then block some more, throwing only a mere fraction of the punches Pacquiao threw.
I did mention the awesome Dallas Cowboys stadium was the venue of this fight and if you have been following this Mosaic365 project from day one, you would know that I am also a big Dallas Cowboy's fan as represented on day 7 of my painting. And speaking of Dallas, my painting from day 43 was about a visitor from Dallas where I depicted the lone star in red white and blue. So to tie it all together with today's boxing event in Dallas, I decided to paint a signature Pacquiao red boxing gloves around the the lone star to mark this day in history, However not to forger Clottey's contribution to the day, I painted a black strap at the base of the gloves to represent Clottey who usually dons his signature black gloves.
