201 days down, 164 to go.
Yes people, another one of those exhausting 16 - hour studio sessions now under my belt. And as I type my post, all I can thing about is hitting the hay. So that's it. I'm gonna hit the hay.
Oh yeah before I forget, I will be painting another half drained bar in my battery. But this time, I will paint the drain in the opposite direction than I normally do because 'Inception' is now in the theaters and everything it turned on its head. I haven't seen it yet but this is in preparation for me seeing it. I can't wait.

200 days down, 165 to go.
Can you believe it's been 200 days since I began this journey of life in color...who would have thunk it. And i have to say that since I have stuck to this commitment, I have began to notice many changes in the way I tackle projects and go for things. This journey is teaching my the value of commitment and dedication. It's also permeating into my relationships with people...who would have thunk it!!!
So to celebrated this milestone, I will be painting the roman numeral for 200 which it 'CC' unto my canvas by forming it out of the earthquake wave pattern from day 94 and painting it in gold to commemorate this golden achievement just like I did for day 100. I look forward to the remaining 165 day left.

199 days down, 166 to go.
Last night tragedy happened at my old Beverly Hills stomping ground. It went down at about 2:10 AM, just outside of Guys & Dolls nightclub in West Hollywood. As people exited the club, a couple of guys began fighting, followed by gunshots. The man who was killed died at a nearby hospital was a valet at the club. Two others suffered gunshot wounds but their condition at this time is unknown. The shooter is still on the loose.
Now the interesting thing about that is back in the day during my clubbing heyday, I might have probably been out there but alas we all grow up and eventually find better and more productive things to do with our time than clubbing. Thankfully I was at the studio working on some great music. But I feel very sorry for him and his family. He went peacefully to works last night not expecting never to come home ever again. He never had the chance to tell his loved ones good bye. This just goes to show that every time you step out your door might be the last except for the grace of God, anything could happen. So never forget to tell those you love home much you love them and enjoy them to the fullest today. You never know what tomorrow may bring. So rest in peace Mr. Valet guy...my condolences goes out to your family.
So my painting today will be in honor of the fallen Valet to ensure that for as long as this painting lives, he will never be forgotten. So I will be painting a Valet jacket with a cross on it right in the crest of my rainbow from day 22 to represent the fact that he now is in a better place.

198 days down, 167 to go.
I stepped out the door today and the heat hit me like a ton of bricks. It music be 110 degrees out there or at least i sure does feel like it. So I quickly retreaded to the comfort of my air conditioned shelter and canceled all my plans for today. Riz is not gonna be taken down by a heat stroke...no not today.
So for my painting today, I will add heat waves rising from the bottom of the canvas because as they teach us in science class, heat rises from the bottom to the top. This is also the perfect place to rise out of on account of all the oil that BP has spilled there for almost 100 days straight.

197 days down, 168 to go.
I the gym today after a brief sabbatical. This was the first time I have hit the weights for a few weeks not. My fitness regiment in that time has consisted solely of hiking the treacherous trails of Runyon Canyon in the heart of Hollywood. So as you can imagine, my muscles are burning and aching right now since this was the longest weight lifting session I have had in a long long time.
Thus to represent this on my canvas, I will be painting a long long triangle for all the physical strength I surely have built up today.

196 days down, 169 to go.
Oil stopped gushing into the Gulf of Mexico today, for the first time in nearly three months (86 days to be exact), as BP began testing the cap atop its stricken well, a critical step toward sealing the well permanently. No this is not the beginning of the end. It's very important that we understand this to be the end of the beginning. We still have a long way to go in securing the cap and testing it as the pressure underneath continues to build not to mention all the devastated wildlife and the enormous cleanup. But hopefully we can say that going forth, there will be lies and less oil in the gulf of Mexico as the cleanup continues.
Co for today's addition, I will be painting a cap unto my oil spill from day 133. Hopefully I wont have to paint off the cap in the days roll on.

195 days down, 170 to go.
I just completed another 15-hour studio session. I must be in crack because my body completely shut down the minute I was done. I guess music is like crack to me because it makes me do crazy things like sit in a room for 15 hours straight doing the same thing over and over again. If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results...then what do you define as doing different things over and over again but expecting the same result? Genius perhaps? There really is a thin line between genius and insanity.
So for today's addition, I will be painting my favorite musical instrument; a guitar, unto the back of my crazy man from day 128 because I definitely am no different from him when I go into the studio and make music.

194 days down, 171 to go.
After a weekend of traveling thousands of miles by air and all the engagements therein, it's left me yearning for a good night's sleep. I have been so hopped up on coffee for the past few days that my eyes are red and they need to be hidden behind shades. So after tonight's all night session, I have decided to lock myself in my hotel room for at lease 12 hours and turn off my phone for an uninterrupted slumber. I will let you know how it goes if I do get to it with this insane schedule that I'm carrying.
So for today's addition, I will be removing another energy bar on my fully charged battery from day 119 to represent the constant drain I have been on for the past few days.

193 days down, 172 to go.
22 days ago when I painted the number 61 to mark how many days since the worst ecological disaster in US history began. Never in my most horrible nightmares did I envision that 22 days later not only would the spillage persist but be at a greater rate that it did before. This is all kinds of wrong and if BP gets dissolved as a company after this, it will be a fate too good for them. God help us.
So for today's addition, what more can I do than to add another figure to represent how many day into this mess we're in. Today marks the 83rd day since the spill began and I'm afraid there is no end in sight for the foreseeable future. God help us.

Heading back home to LA after killing it in Reno for my boy A-Wax (@Waxfase) video shoot.
So for today's addition, I will be painting another cloud to represent me taking flight yet again.
